Redoing bm262 & 267-269 with Carlos & Conchita

previous trip      next trip

Summary: part of a series of 9 daytrips in august & september 2022 across the Pyrenees. The main goal was to finish my plan to have visited all bordermarkers at least twice. It was also a kind of sentimental farewell journey, visiting old friends and cherished places.
This is daytrip 3.

Today: together we visit three bordermarkers, still to do by Carlos & Conchita.

Weather: foggy/drizzly in the beginning, later some sunny spells

Basecamp: Camping Asolaze near Isaba

Same trip to be seen at Carlos & Conchita's website.

There is a moment of doubt whether to continue or not because of the rain but we carry on.

There are 2 routes from bm268 to 269. This is the one we follow today.

This picture is from 9-9-2020 and on that page some more information on these 2 routes.

Note the number 267 upside down: apparently they wanted also a pillar next to bm267 but never made one.

Now Carlos & Conchita have almost completed the entire range of the first Treaty (bm001 to 272). Only bm272 is waiting their visit.
