Then we leave the road to traverse north through fields up to LL31.
|
 | LL43 is not easy to find in a large hedgerow and in the dense undergrowth.
Tip: it is at the eastern side of the hedgerow.

 | LL42 needs pruning to get it properly on the picture.

 | Then we arrive at a small stream between LL34 and LL31.
There are 4 double markers on either side of the stream.
This is LL34ll on the Llivian side of the sream.

 | LL34ll in close-up.
The A refers to the French municipality of Angoustrine. On the other side of this marker is LL engraved.

|
 | Since my last visit on 30-8-2022 there has been a touristic update.
For example this bridge, possibly the smallest borderbridge in the world
(click photo to enlarge)
|
 | with the borderline on it.
(click photo to enlarge)
|
 | This is LL34fr thus at the French side of the stream
We are looking into France and that explains the LL on this side because that is the Llivian side.

 | LL34 both markers.
The stream running between double markers 31 and 34 is apparently now considered as THE border.
But that was not the case in the beginning. The treaty of 1868 states
that the borderline was ± 5m north of the stream. Read all about it in this blog-post.

 | Carlos, Conchita and Anjo pose for the picture, acting like tourists.
This is the end of the touristic trail.

 | Carlos & Conchita in their sleep of the innocent.
We had a lovely walk together.
I suggested to Carlos & Conchita - having an appartment close to
Llivia - that they could adopt the Llivia-bordermarkers. Checking them
regularly, cleaning, pruning, painting and even plant flowers.
Conchita reacted favourably, Carlos gave me the middle finger ;-)
